Mitsubishi Aircraft resumed test flights for the first MRJ90 regional airliner in February after scheduled modifications following the first test flights last November. The Mitsubishi Regional Jet, MRJ, is a twin-engine aircraft manufactured by Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation. The MRJ is the first airliner to be designed and produced in Japan since the 1960’s. The MRJ family will include six versions and two fuselage lengths.

Mitsubishi currently has 233 orders for the MRJ90 with options for an additional 194.

The first flight of the MRJ90 took place on November 11th, 2015 in Nagoya, Japan. The aircraft is slated to enter into service in the second quarter of 2018.
